OTTAWA, March 9, 2006 – TrueContext, the technology provider for the Rogers mFORMS™ (www.rogers.com/mforms) On Demand mobile forms service, today announced the appointment of key industry veterans to lead the company through the next phase of growth.
Jeff Lindauer has joined TrueContext as Chief Executive Officer, and will also serve on the company’s board of directors. Lindauer is focused on growing the company and delivering on it’s vision for providing a service platform for Operators to launch branded, On Demand volume enterprise data services like mobile forms, content and device management. Alvaro Pombo, formerly CEO, assumes the role of President and Executive Chairman of the Board of TrueContext.
For more than 20 years, Lindauer has led high performing software technology and telecommunications companies. Previously, Lindauer was CEO of Spontaneous Technology, a wireless synchronization company acquired by IntelliSync, subsequently acquired by Nokia. Lindauer also served as President and CEO of SkyTel, and Chief Operating Officer for SmarTalk Telecommunications, acquired by AT&T. This followed a 14-year career with MCI Telecommunications where Lindauer served as Vice President and General Manager of the PrePaid Card unit after holding several senior management positions in the company’s Business Markets division. He began his telecommunications career with Mountain Bell in 1982. Lindauer also currently serves as Chairman of Q Inc, a QoE software company located in San Francisco.
Omar Leeman has assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Support. Prior to joining TrueContext, Leeman was President and Founder of Pinebrook Management Group, L.L.C, which provides management, sales, marketing, and strategy consulting services. Previously Leeman was President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Talk2 Technology, Inc and held executive positions at MCI Telecommunications Inc, including President, MCI Business Markets. Leeman also worked as a Regional Vice President at NEC America Inc., and held management positions at OC Tanner Company and Xerox Corporation.
Ted Gauld is now the Vice President of Marketing. Before joining TrueContext, Gauld held several senior marketing positions with Microsoft Corporation. As a group product manager in Microsoft's Mobile and Embedded Devices Division, Gauld led the product management team responsible for Windows Mobile application and service planning and solution development. Previously, he led the product management team for Microsoft's Learning Business and Encarta brand. Gauld also started Microsoft's personal finance and online banking business in Japan.
Cyril Soga, has been named Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining TrueContext, Soga spent several years as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Global R&D at Eftia OSS Solutions. Previously, Soga worked at Fulcrum Technologies (Hummingbird) as a Software Development Manager in the Advanced Systems and Research group where he architected and brought a number of enterprise knowledge management software products to market.
