Mississauga, ON – Sept. 30, 2005
– BorderWare Technologies Inc., the leading provider of messaging security
solutions, announced today that it has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious
Companies-to-Watch award. This annual awards program identifies the next
generation of technology overachievers in conjunction with the Deloitte
Technology Fast 50 awards program that recognizes excellence, innovation and the
fastest growing tech companies in Canada. Rankings are based on
percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 2000–2004.
The Deloitte Fast
50 is a prestigious annual awards program honouring technology companies that
rally behind innovation, break down obstacles and systematically defy the
odds. This year, to reflect the dynamic changes in the tech sector in
Canada, Deloitte has introduced several new award categories for sector
leadership, sustained excellence, and next generation technology
overachievers. These awards, including the Companies-to-Watch category
which was introduced to identify the real up-and-comers in technology today,
expand beyond recognizing only financial performance to take into account other
business practices such as quality of management, competitiveness, market size,
strong intellectual property, and a range of financial performance measures.
"Being named to Deloitte’s Companies-to-Watch program is a
prestigious honour for BorderWare," said Tim Leisman, President & CEO,
BorderWare Technologies Inc. "This tribute clearly demonstrates that
Deloitte recognizes our solid and consistent record of growth, affirms that we
are an emerging leader in the software industry, and acknowledges BorderWare’s
superior technology offerings in messaging security."
“Deloitte has
taken a new approach to the Fast 50 program to recognize that as the tech sector
in Canada develops, the dynamics are
changing,” said Garry Foster, National Director, Technology, Media &
Telecommunications, Deloitte. “Deloitte applauds BorderWare for placing as a
Company-to-Watch and having the long-term vision to develop technologies that
change the way we work and play.”
Winners of the 15
regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United
States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte
