BorderWare Technologies, the leading provider of messaging security solutions,
announced that it has been named as a winner of the “Innovation Driver Award”.
The Innovation Driver Award presentation is part of security-zone, an
independent security conference and trade show held under the patronage of the
European Union. Exhibitors, institutes and IT-security vendors have been invited
to present their latest innovations. A panel of expert judges drawn from
research reviewed the applicants for level of innovation and for applicability
to real-world problems. Eight winners were selected including Borderware’s
SIPassure™ SIP Firewall. These winners will be showcased in a special area in
the centre of the exhibition hall. BorderWare are a fully participant at
security-zone and can be found on booth I2.
The
applicants for the Innovation Driver Award included developers and academic
institutions. The projects covered all areas of IT-Security authentication,
detection and defend of malicious code, network prevention from various threats,
encryption, enhanced security management and completely new approaches.
The
need for SIP Security
Voice
and data are converging and SIP has emerged as the dominant session protocol for
real-time Internet-based (IP) communications. BorderWare’s SIPassure is
designed to secure and manage the dynamic nature of real-time SIP
communications. SIPassure empowers enterprises to deploy real-time
messaging, voice, data, video and other SIP-based applications securely and with
confidence. SIPassure provides comprehensive protection against threats with a
range of controls, including unique session profiling technology that prevents
spam and Denial-of-Service attacks.
"We
are honored to be a winner of the Innovation Driver Award”, said Peter Cox, Vice
President BorderWare Technologies and one of the speakers at security
zone. “This award recognises both the commercial value of SIPassure and
the high level of technical innovation needed to implement effective security
for SIP based applications. The level adoption of these applications
continues to grow as do the risks of deployment. Much like email, SIP-enabled
communications are susceptible to a variety of threats that are designed to halt
business operations. BorderWare is committed to making all types of
Internet communications safe. SIPassure is part of our larger platform
strategy designed to provide customers with easy management and security at the
perimeter of their networks.”
